On this gorgeous Sunday afternoon Advocates for Peace and Social Justice was once again blessed to arrive at Jersey City’s Journal Square with food for our homeless and needy friends. This month Advocates for Peace and Social Justice donated one case of water, a large tray of vegetable rice paired with freshly made chicken. Our donation was complimented by a donation of 10 full meals from Muslims Against Hunger. Altogether there was enough food for 45 people but somehow it seemed that the food fed more persons than intended. Very difficult to explain but GOD as witness it happened. I actually lost track of the servings. All I can say is that everyone ate once, some had seconds and others enjoyed a third. ALL PRAISES TO GOD who provides in abundance for all. There are very few things in life that bring as much joy as tending to the homeless does. I take much joy in seeing them eat a good meal.

As always a big thank you goes out to Muslims Against Hunger for their many food donations to our homeless and needy friends at Journal Square.

Once again I remind everyone that volunteers are needed on Sundays to help distribute food to the homeless. Those who can spare the time are urged to help with their physical presence or with a donation of food and/or clothing. Always remember GOD loves a cheerful giver.
