Greetings Friends and Comrades!
Today I arrived at Journal Square with a trunk containing food and the rain was pouring. I was afraid that it would not stop long enough to distribute the food to our homeless and needy friends. Thankfully it stopped five minutes after and I was able to make distribution.
This week Advocates for Peace and Social Justice donated 1 large tray of vegetable rice paired with fresh made chicken and a case of water. 30 persons were served. The distribution was quick because we all wanted to avoid the rain. No photos were taken today because the clouds were menancing. The last thing I wanted was to be caught serving food out in the open in a heavy rain.
APSJ member Naved Husain was not present, due to travel, but he left utensils and napkins with me last week for todays event. A thank you goes out to him and his wife Catherine together with blessings that the journey is safe round trip.
I am very thankful to GOD that HE held back the rain to allow me to make distribution to those who need it most.
