Dear Friends and Comrades,
I am late with the posting of this event due to technological issues with the internet connection to my laptop but, I now relate that on Sunday, September 28, 2014, Advocates for Peace and Social Justice and Muslims Against Hunger combined to bring the homeless and needy of Jersey City food gifts of love.
Advocates for Peace and Social Justice donated two large trays of vegetable rice with 4 boxes of fresh made chicken and two cookies per person which served 60 persons.
Naved Husain (member of APSJ) donated two cases of water and 40 boxes of individual breakfast cereals.
Ali Hassan of Muslims Against Hunger arrived with a donation of 80 bags of lunches consisting of one sandwich paired with one piece of fruit and water.
Our friends at Journal Square were happy and ate well. As always they blessed us for remembering them.
I send out many blessings and thanks to Naved Husain who took the trouble to drop off his donation before attending a wedding and to Muslims Against Hunger for their constant generosity to our homeless and needy in Hudson County.
Special thanks and blessings go out to Rafiul Islam for his generous donation which helped APSJ to double the amount of hot food distributed and will allow APSJ to continue doing so for the next few months. The same goes for an anonymous donor who sent a donation via Naved Husain. Every dollar received is appreciated and being used solely to feed the homeless and needy.
I can never stress enough the joy it is to do GOD’s work. There is no better satisfaction than to help the homeless and needy. Winter is coming. I urge those of you who can donate packages of adult size sweat socks, warm coats and jackets that are clean and gently used to please do so. Thermal blankets are a vital necessity to prevent homeless from dying on the street from exposure to cold. If you can donate any of these things please contact me at: Advocatesforpeaceandsocialjustice@live.com. GOD will bless you greatly for your donation.
